  • Documentation

New Business:

  • Reference hardware - proposal to issue BT/Wifi module with the TI Bluetooth hardware from the KF instead of the Qualcomm module. One question to Panasonic is to use the QC 6174 part that has firmware available. Scott pointed out that the TI will not work with “out of the box” Pulse Audio and Blues it will not work properly. Kurokawa-san checked with Cogent and they are using the KF design with Pulse Audio and different stack. Need to make sure the antenna uses the external connector on the Reference Hardware and not an onboard antenna like the KF since it is not usable most environments.
  • Update of PipeWire and WirePlumber - George explained that WirePlumber release from June uses the desktop policy instead of the AGL policy so there is three weeks of work to get the update ready. Not likely to happen for Koi.
  • Meet next week - yes
  • Paul received the Ref HW and KF from Raquel.

  • Google Season of Docs
  • Itchy Icefish - 9.0.3 released. 9.0.4 originally scheduled for September 4.Push back one month and determine if we have content for another release?
  • 8/25 - 9.0.3 release was sent out. Thud is now not supported by Yocto so an update from upstream is unlikely. Will see if we get anything internally.
  • Jumping Jellyfish
  • 10.0.0 build sent out.
  • KK
    • merge window open on master
      • 10/20
        • Edi - Test report for master . Intel audio now fixed. Nothing major to report. New issue found when PB profile is disabled in the phone (SPEC-3652)
        • Upgrade to YP 3.1.3 is in flight.
    • 11/03
      • Edi - Test report for master . Audio on H3 has wrong (different?) default. Now defaults to HDMI instead of audio jack. No audio on Kingfisher with the updated Renesas BSP, Scott started looking into. Frederic and Ronan are looking at IoT.bzh.

Window Manager

  • 9/22 - Working on the issues identified by Edi in the test cycle for RC4. Working on upgrade to Chromium 79 (SPEC-3576). This is the version that LG used for the latest release of WAM. Currently working on master. Should be portable to Jellyfish,
  • 9/29
  • 10/13 - updating Waltham transmitter to use latest libweston. Now can stream to the waltham receiver and receive input from the remote device. Still some issues left to be resolved. Note: Walt did not do justice to Marius explanation in this brief summary, but it sounds like he is making progress and is doing a good job at modularizing it.
  • 10/20 - Waltham transmitter updates pushed to gerrit. Still working on receiver side. Marius created a Jira ticket (SPEC-3647) to clean up Waltham being used in a private repo.
  • 11/3 - Close to finishing Waltham changes. Made some updates to Window Manager based on bugs submitted by Walter who was looking at GTK and GTK toolkit. Sounds like GTK can now be supported by the AGL compositor. Need a decision on what to do about upstream Waltham and the private branch that was being supported by ADIT. Will discuss on another call when they are available.
