    • Update 10/30 - Thierry in Edinburgh this week for audio hackfest and Linux audio roadmap. Stephane reported that HFP is generally failing to connect at this point. Will document the reproduction steps in a Jira and add Matt and Scott as watchers to get some help.
    • 11/6 - Thierry and George gave a readout of the audio hackfest and pipewire roadmap from Edinburgh. George will create a presentation on pipewire and its roadmap and how it pertains to AGL. Thierry gave an update on getting HFP working. Will provide a written update by Thursday.
    • 11/13 - Thierry: plan - bring ofono support within bluez-alsa daemon, due to conflict between bluez-alsa and ofono over hfp.
      • Plan is to land in rc2 for GG
  • SPEC-1801 - Jan-Simon, Scott and team gave up on Bluetooth in the demo unit in Dresden as it was unstable.
    • 11/13 Kurokawa-san: wrt SPEC-1801 with netboot bt works, with sdcard there are issue.
      • Points to sdio issue, Kurokawa-san will check with team.
  • HALS needed Fiberdyne amplifier, slim amplifier, etc. Microchip working on getting this available.
    • Update 9/4 - Team back from vacation and are now enlightened. May have a fix today.

    • 10/2 - Sebastien made a pull request LG repo that has not been accepted yet. https://github.com/webosose/meta-agl-lge/pull/7
    • 10/9 - Pull request was approved by Igalia, but has not been merged.

    • 7/3 - Toyota will post policy manager and app launcher to gerrit soon to make it into RC2. Repos were created this week. Will need to review the policy manager interface to make sure it is generic and not dependent on the Toyota implementation that uses ZIPC generated code.
    • 7/10 - Gerrit 15133 was added that has the interface mixed in with “sample” implementation from ZIPC. Requested that this be broken up into two commits.
    • 7/24 - ZIPC reverted to push fix for RC2. Needs to be re-added for RC3.
    • 7/31 - Need to add zipc
    • 8/7 - ZIPC still needs to be added for RC3.
    • 8/14 - Yuta pushed the change (16101 and 16105) but they need a rebase. Jan-Simon will try to rebase to see if we can get it in this week.

  • Documentation Improvements - Dennis brought up that he has been showing AGL around his office and to other people. He noted that the AGL documentation site is out of date with respect to “Getting Started”. His team is interested in creating a custom device creation and app development. His “Hello World” app no longer works as a starting point. He has some ideas on how to improve things. Will send out an email to the list and create a Jira ticket.
    • 10/9 - Separate weekly meetings now going.
  • Surface ID management proposal from ADIT
    • Reviewed email thread, a few slides from Tanibata-san as well Fulup's proposal from AMM
    • Jose will prepare a follow-up on security for next dev call (Apr 24)
    • 4/24 - Discussed latest proposal from ADIT and Tanikawa and Jose's replies. Seems like general agreement between IoT.bzh and Tanikawa. New proposal from Tanikawa-san after Golden Week.
    • 5/8 - Missing ADIT and IoT.bzh today. Can discuss during App FW EG call tomorrow and/or SAT this week.
    • 5/15 - Reviewed during Graphics EG call yesterday. Another update expected in two weeks during next EG call.

Need to schedule demo presenters so we have coverage.

Special ALS Demo Integration Meeting

Tanikawa:

  • Used image from Jan-Simon and USB audio and RC2 from IoT.bzh.
    • Played sound. System unstable. Media player crashed, no audio frequently. Could not try Fiberdyne amp. Gave up and integrated HVAC.
    • HVAC - Kusakabe-san LIN controller works. LED controller works. LED may be overheating the USB hub. One hub broke. Cannot run LED and LCD panel at the same time. I2C port number changes at start up so we need a config file (being worked on by Jordan)
    • Backup plan image is to use tip of eel without 4a. Tanikawa will prepare that for Tuesday set up in Tokyo.

Stephane:

  • Sandbox in meta-agl-devel should fix the 4a config by adjusting the revisions of source code. Need to test apps. Media player
  • Need to merge Loic's latest change (14411)

* DD Must-Fix Issues.

  • DD 4.0.3 release with YP 2.2.3 version that went into QA.
  • DD 4.0.4 not planned. Will be on an as-needed basis. YP has started a 2.2.4. End of June at the earliest before.
  • Eel 5.0.4 - Merge window closes 05 July. Will decide next week in Lorient if we should cut a 5.0.4 prior to ALS with Loic and Jonathan's audio changes. There are also 8 or 9 issues queued up for eel for multimedia, Bluetooth, and POI app.
  • Major issues to be fixed
    • No volume control. Mixer needs to be fixed
      • 1/30 - Root cause is PulseAudio. Time frame is end of February based on Ronan's best guess.
    • Homescreen crashes when pulse crashes
      • 1/30 - Tanikawa-san fixed this at CES by removing the volume slider on the homescreen. He will post patches as a temp fix until the real solution can be provided.
