Highlights

1) The Grumpy Guppy Patch Release 7.0.1 was made on Thursday. See https://wiki.automotivelinux.org/agl-distro/release-notes#grumpy_guppy_701 for all of the details.

2) Some documentation site updates were made to formatting, but we still need some help with HTML5, CSS, and such to improve the site’s look and feel. If you have expertise in these areas and want to help, check out JIRA issues SPEC-2317, SPEC-2318, and SPEC-2319. Please contact me if you can help us out. We will be looking for more redesign of the overall look and feel of the site as well. There is an Epic in Jira (SPEC-2330) with subtasks that cover the redesign.

3) The hardware specification being written by the Reference Hardware System Architecture EG will be released to the System Architecture Team in this week for review and approval. This should lead to a 2-DIN hardware prototype that can be purchased by AGL Members. A draft version of the spec can be found here for review and early comments. NOTE: A new revision was uploaded today! https://wiki.automotivelinux.org/_media/eg-rhsa/agl_referencehardwarespec_v0.2.0draft.pdf

4) Let’s talk about Telematics! The Connectivity EG is working on creating a reference device for telematics. The code should be dropped into gerrit in the next two weeks. The V2C EG is starting a white paper to details for end-to-end Vehicle to Cloud use cases and requirements. Please join either of these Expert Groups if you are interested in bringing telematics to AGL.

5) Last chance to sign up for the F2F meeting on May 7 – 9 at Igalia’s office in Coruna, Spain. Sign up on the wiki if you plan to make it. A lot of important topics are on the agenda. https://wiki.automotivelinux.org/agl-distro/may2019-f2f

6) When you make your travel plans to attend Automotive Linux Summit, remember that we will hold a Face-to-Face SAT and Expert Group meeting on July 16 the day before ALS begins. Sign up at https://wiki.automotivelinux.org/agl-distro/jul2019-f2f
