For ALS 2018 we will use the 2018 CES Demo with bug fixes and some additional apps

Use electric eel 5.0.2 or later. 5.0.3 is planned for late May.

Open Issues
Audio:
Master volume does not work
Pulse audio crashing in media player causes media player to continuously skip to next track especially in video player, sometimes in audio player.
Homescreen unstable in eel. Need plan to backport from FF or to fix current homescreen. Tanikawa says that instability was introduced by addition of Chromium and Chromium running out of memory.
Need specific issues in Jira to be assigned to Toyota who will take ownership of fixing Home screen and Window Manager for EE and FF.
5/8 - SPEC-1425 describes set up for reproducing the issue. Mitsunari-san is looking at how to fix the issue.
Bluetooth and wifi are unstable. Can Matt and Pantellis FF changes be backported to EE. (SPEC-1165)
Focus on Bluetooth for ALS. WiFi we can live without since we can use a hardwired connection.
4/17 - Matt R working on Bluetooth settings app. Bluez-alsa working on master using cmd line. Need to use a Bluez-Alsa app to set up the routing. Will be ready for the June workshop at IoT.bzh.
4/24 - Matt R. started merging some changes.
5/8 - Matt R to backport to eel in time for 5.0.3
5/15 - Matt R. submitted the last of the back ports today.
5/29 - Changes queued in gerrit. Issues with building the SDK. Scott will try to help out debugging the problem.
6/5 - Problem with SDK build resolved.
SPEC-1426 - Application launch from home screen and interaction with Window Manager is also a problem and not reliable especially when the user tries to start multiple applications in succession or hits the same button multiple times. Issue is that there is no confirmation that that the WM command was successful or failed so their state machines get out of sync. Need to check with Toyota and Mitsunari-san about a fix.
5/29 - Probably nothing we can do for EE. Tanikawa-san will write up options for future development to present to Graphics and UI EG and App FW EG.
